Northwell Health is proud to announce the opening of its own School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography located at the Center for Learning and Innovation (CLI).

The 20-month, full-time program is accepting its first class in fall 2023, and consists of didactic and clinical internships. All clinical placements will be at Northwell Health facilities.

Upon successful completion of the program, students are required to take the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography’s (ARDMS) Sonography Physics and Instrumentation (SPI) examination and at least one specialty examination that they are eligible to take, within three months of graduation. Graduates must be certified in at least one specialty within six months of graduation.

SUNY Empire will provide online courses in order to satisfy program requirements and will promote the DMS program and career opportunities available at Northwell Health.
