DMS- 200 Professional Growth & Development I
Course Description:
This course advances students' skills across cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning domains. Key topics include an in-depth review of ultrasound physics and instrumentation, preparing students for the Sonographic Physics and Instrumentation (SPI) exam. Additionally, the course covers intravenous (IV) procedures and sonographic guidance techniques for various medical procedures.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
· Provide proof of their American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) number.
· Demonstrate the knowledge required for the SPI examination
· Demonstrate knowledge IV insertion and injection with use of contrast-enhanced imaging
