RAD 111: Radiographic Technique II - Class of 2026 - Eastern Campus

This course is a continuation of Radiographic Technique I and builds upon the fundamentals of radiologic image quality.  The topics include photographic factors, geometric factors, the utilization of radiographic grids, the use of automatic exposure control, and the use of technique charts. We will end with a discussion of fluoroscopy and dynamic imaging.  Laboratory experiments will also be done to assess student’s understanding of these concepts.  Medical imaging is complemented by the multiple components of Digital Imaging (CR and DR). CR and the multiple forms of DR will be discussed throughout the course.  Emphasis will be placed on the identify opportunities for patient radiation dose reduction associated with utilization of Digital Imaging systems.
