RAD 113: Professional Ethics and Law - Class of 2026 - Western Campus
Content is designed to provide a fundamental background in ethics. The
historical and philosophical bases of ethics, as well as the elements of
ethical behavior, are discussed. The student will examine a variety of ethical
issues and dilemmas found in clinical practice.
An introduction to legal terminology, concepts and principles also will
be presented. Topics include the principles of beneficence, nonmaleficence,
caring and communication, patient autonomy and informed consent, death and
dying, healthcare distribution, and diversity.
